CarPlay and Android Auto for company cars

With Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, drivers use navigation and calls through the car's screen instead of their phone. That keeps their hands on the wheel and their attention on the road.

For employees who spend much of the day on the road, it is also a matter of convenience. They use the navigation app they already know, from their own phone, on the car's familiar screen.

Activation: many Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda and Audi models with MIB2 or MIB2.5 already have the CarPlay hardware inside the infotainment system. Carro Automotive enables the feature with a software adjustment, without extra hardware or cables. This usually takes 15 to 30 minutes.

Module: if a car cannot be activated, a compact module is hidden behind the dashboard and connected to the factory screen. You get wireless CarPlay and Android Auto and can still switch back to the original system.

New screen: for cars without a suitable factory screen, Carro Automotive fits an HD touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.

The right route depends on make, model, year and infotainment system. On carroautomotive.nl you can check the options by Dutch registration number, and for activation by make, model and software version.

If you run a mixed fleet, include a list of registration numbers or models with your quote request. That way the route can be set per vehicle before anything is scheduled.

With lease cars, it matters that the car stays original. All three routes leave the original system intact. An activation can be reversed, and a module can be removed and fitted in another car.

Vehicles are scheduled in blocks, 7 days a week by appointment. For larger numbers, installation at your premises can be arranged. After handover you receive an overview per vehicle of what was installed.
