Carro Automotive provides fleet tracking for company cars and vans: hidden GPS trackers are fitted out of sight, so you can see the live location, trip history and alerts for every vehicle in one app. Trackers start at €149 including installation at the workshop at Stavorenweg 4 in Gouda, the Netherlands, with a 2-year warranty on product and installation.

Why track your fleet

A vehicle that is not where it should be costs time and money. With a GPS tracker you can see at once where every company car or van is. If a vehicle is stolen, the app shows where it is.

Planning gets easier too. You can see which employee is closest to a job. When a customer asks for an arrival time, you look it up instead of calling the driver.

How installation works

The tracker is hidden inside the vehicle and wired to the battery. There is no battery for you to recharge. Nothing of the tracker is visible from the outside or in the cabin.

The wiring is concealed and the vehicle's original system stays intact. Most installations are finished within 1 to 3 hours.

For extra security, you can combine the tracker with an immobiliser (from €249 including the tracker). It lets you block the starter motor from the app, so the vehicle cannot be started. An immobiliser cannot be fitted to hybrid cars.

What you see in the app

The app is available for iOS and Android. It shows multiple trackers and vehicles in a single overview.

Each tracker has a built-in 4G SIM card and works throughout Europe. It costs €50 per year, with no monthly subscription. The first year is included with installation.

Employee privacy

A tracker records where a vehicle is. Because a company car is usually assigned to one driver, this often counts as personal data and the GDPR applies.

Rolling out across multiple vehicles

For larger fleets, installations are scheduled in blocks so that not every vehicle is off the road at once. The workshop is open 7 days a week by appointment, so weekend slots are possible too.

For larger numbers, installation at your premises can be arranged. Volume pricing is available on request. After handover you receive an overview per vehicle of what was installed.

    Intake

    You tell us how many vehicles are involved, which makes and models, and what needs to be fitted. What is technically possible is checked for each vehicle.

    Proposal

    You receive a proposal covering the installation per vehicle, the schedule and the price. Volume pricing is available on request.

    Scheduling & installation

    Vehicles come to the workshop in Gouda in blocks, so your fleet is never off the road all at once. Most installations take 1–3 hours.

  4. 04

    Handover & aftercare

    Every system is tested and you receive a per-vehicle overview of what was installed. A 2-year warranty covers product and installation.

What does a GPS tracker cost per vehicle?

From €149 per vehicle, including installation. On top of that, the 4G SIM card costs €50 per year, with the first year included. Volume pricing is available on request for larger numbers.

Can a thief find the tracker?

Not easily. The tracker is hidden and wired to the battery, with no visible cables. An OBD tracker, by contrast, is visible and quick to remove. That is why Carro Automotive recommends a hardwired tracker for business vehicles.

Does the tracker need charging?

No. The tracker is wired to the vehicle battery and works as long as that battery does. There is no separate battery to replace.

Does the tracker work abroad?

Yes. The built-in 4G SIM card works throughout Europe. If your vehicles travel to a specific country outside Europe, get in touch beforehand.

May I track my employees' company cars?

Yes, under certain conditions. Location data linked to a regular driver is often personal data, so the GDPR applies. Decide in advance what you use the data for and inform your employees. Our knowledge base article on GPS tracking and the GDPR covers this in more detail.

How long does it take to fit a GPS tracker?

Fitting is usually done within 1 to 3 hours. The tracker is hidden and wired to the battery, and at handover Carro Automotive helps you set up the app.
